The Midwestern State University Alumni Association was established in 1926 and today, has 4,000+ members living in all 50 states and many foreign countries. Some of MSU Texas's distinguished alumni include:

• Diann James Taylor, former Texas State Board of Education member and president of the Texas Association of School Administrators.
• Warren Ayres, executive vice president for Eagle Oil & Gas Company.
• Melanie Donart Hadderton, retired band director and former president of the Texas Music Educators Association.
• Richard Young, founder and managing director of Global Trade and Security Consultancy.
• Delores Whitehead Jackson, adjunct professor at MSU Texas and former university employee.
• Lamar D. Jones, former president and CEO of the United Way of Wichita Falls.
• Kristen Cox (1998, Nursing), Chief Nursing Officer at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
