The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Is an English-speaking public research institution and is located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong, not far from the Hung Hom station. This university is one of Hong Kong's eight degree-granting academic institutions that are supported by the government. It was the first organization in Hong Kong to offer technical education, having been established in 1937 as the first Government Trade School.
