• Leland Melvin is an astronaut who flew on four space shuttle missions. He is also a science communicator and author.
• Kelly Corrigan is a writer and podcast host. She is the author of the New York Times bestseller "The Middle Place" and the host of the podcast "Kelly Corrigan Wonders."
• Douglas Freeman is a historian and Pulitzer Prize winner. He is best known for his biography of Robert E. Lee.
• Nancy Litchfield Hicks (1985): A philanthropist and former president of the Richmond Bar Association. She is the namesake of the Nancy Litchfield Hicks Professorship in Law at Richmond Law School.
• Sean Casey is a former Major League Baseball player. He was a two-time All-Star and won the Silver Slugger Award in 2004.
• Shirley Ann Jackson (1964): A physicist and engineer who is the first African-American woman to earn a doctorate from MIT. She is currently the president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
