The University of Winnipeg's Alumni Association, has more than 30,000 members and aims to advance the university's objectives, raise awareness of the institution in the local community, and foster a strong sense of community among graduates. 

The notable alumni of the Uni of Winnipeg include Ida Albo a businesswoman, Lloyd Axworthy a political reformer, a Nobel Prize nominee, and a former UW President, Tom Axworthy a Canadian civil servant, and Omar Zakhilwal the Afghan Finance minister and the President of Afghanistan's Chief Economic Advisor.
